SARDINES SALAD WITH FRISEÉ
In today’s post, i am sharing a budget friendly, sustainable salad and made from very basic ingredients.
This Moroccan salad is boosted with extra nutrients. Sardines has excellent taste qualities and is an excellent source of proteins, amino acids and unsaturated Omega-3 fat. Rich in mineral and vitamins. You can easily purchase these in any supermarket.

What you need:
SALAD
2 can tinned sardines in olive oil, carefully removed and drained
Fresh mini sweet peppers
1 Small shallot
4 Small radishes
4 Heads of Frisée lettuce
1/2 cup of black cured Moroccan olives
12 Cornichons cut in half
BASIC VINAIGRETTE
3 Tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
3 Tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 Teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Pinch of Aleppo pepper
Fleur de sel
How to make it:
To make vinaigrette, whisk lemon juice, olive oil and black pepper in a bowl until well combined.
On 4 divided plates, make a bed with friseé lettuce and layer with bell peppers, radish, cured olives, radish and cornichons.
Drizzle with vinaigrette and top with sardines.
Finish with a good squeeze of lemon and sprinkle some salt.
I recommend a good rosé for this one.
NOTE
You can choose any type of dressing you like.
You can roughly cut sardines into small pieces
If you really can’t do sardines, canned tuna, salmon or another type of fish can be used.
