MIXED BERRY COMPOTE PARFAIT

A breakfast win! The components for this berries compote Yogurt Parfait are easy to prepare and easy to keep on the go!  A healthy, bright and delicious combination. It’s love at first bite!

What you need

For Strawberry, Raspberry Jam Compote

  • 1 Cup of Strawberries washed and top cut off

  • 1 Cup of Raspberries washed

  • 1/2 Cup sugar

  • 1 Teaspoon of ground cinnamon

  • 1 Teaspoon of Rose water

  • Yogurt cream

  • 3 Cups Fagè Total 5%

  • 1 Teaspoon of lime zest

  • 1 Cup Homemade coconut granola

  • Pepitas  (Squash seeds for garnish)

  • Honey as needed

How to make it

Quick fruit compote

Start your compote by placing your strawberries and raspberries in a saucepan and add in sugar over medium heat. Bring it to boil while stirring constantly and let it simmer for about 15 minutes, until the mixture gets thick and jammy. Add rose water stir remove from stove and let it cool completely. Chill and the refrigerator.

Yogurt

In a bowl mix yogurt with lime zest.

Assembly:

Into a serving glasses divide all ingredients. Layer the yogurt into the bottom of each glasses. Followed by  compote then top it with granola,  pepitas for some crunch and drizzle some honey.

A clever way to enjoy the sweet!

NOTE

Best assembled shortly before eating so the granola stays crunchy.

Compote can be store up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator.

You can use store-bought strawberry jam instead of preparing it
